Anyone who’s seen my reblogs from Kakera Complex would know I’m getting involved in the Key 15th Anniversary Project. I figured I’d do a small post detailing what I’ll be doing, and also as yet-another-shoutout for the Project.
Well well well, I have to say, Square did pretty well on this one.
Last night at 1am my time, the countdown on Subaseka ended. The reveal was for ‘The World Ends With You: Solo Remix‘, a new iPhone and iPad version of the 2008 Nintendo DS game.
A lot of people weren’t happy with this (the trailer Square put on Youtube hit 1000 dislikes in under 15 minutes) but personally I see some great potential in this.
I realise I’m several days, hours, minutes and seconds late to be posting about this, but I’ve only just recovered from the “Holy shit it’s actually happening” mode I’ve been in since the countdown launched on Monday.
‘The World Ends With You’ is, along with Type-0, one of my favourite video games of all time. I played it early 2009 and pretty much fell in love with it. I’ve 100%’d it multiple times over the last few years and am currently in the Post-Game on my latest playthrough.
So, naturally, after the secret ending I’ve been waiting for a new entry in the series for a looooong time now.
2WY finally coming along has pretty much thrown my entire week out the window, since I’ve been incapable of not thinking about what’s waiting at 00:00:00. The TWEWY Crew at Neoseeker have all sprung to life again, with new threads on the forum regarding speculah based on the countdown page. The website Twewy-fan, which was just about to close down after 4 years due to the lack of new TWEWY, has had an amazing little revival in the single open thread it currently has.
I am incredibly hyped about this, its probably my most anticipated thing ever, and we still don’t even know what it is. Lots of ideas have been thrown around; Sequel, Prequel, Anime, Social Game, Remake/Final Mix…
All I know is that I don’t give a damn and will make sure I can get to whatever it is.
So Dawnguard suddenly popped up on the Steam Store last week (you might have seen me bitching on Twitter). Despite its annoying price, I went and bought it later that night anyway. The following day I woke up, got some food and a big drink, and sat down to launch into the land of Skyrim. What followed was probably one of my favourite stories in any Elder Scrolls game, and one of my favourite in any RPG ever.
I meant to do this last week but I had to recover from sitting there playing it for 17 hours with barely any stopping. So have it now.
Popular visual novel bloggist and war leader on copyright, Aaeru, has put up these questions on her blog. I figured I’d take a crack at them.
Advance warning, there will probably be a lot of Key.
Well, I started this up for fun, mainly. However due to that i’ve never had a really clear idea of what i’m going for with it.
I want to keep reviewing stuff with my lax system. That much I know.
It’s just everything else. Should I just post about whatever I’m thinking about or feeling or doing?
We’ll see where this goes.
